During the summer of 2017, Aalto University partnered with the VF Corporation to develop a project that concentrated on creating an innovative technique that cold be applied in the footwear or apparel department. For my project I continued working on the same subject as my BA thesis research but framing it to be applied into a hiking shoe. The idea was to create a slipper for the resting times of hikers that could be folded and compacted into a very small and lightweight piece. This technique would be later on be transferred into different objects like rucksacks, backpacks and others. This project is still in development so here you will see only a preview and an overview of the research process.
